Your guide to all the places where Music Library materials live
The item is here in the Music Library for you to retrieve yourself.
Located in offsite storage : click on the title in the catalogue, then select Options, and then Request to ask for retrieval. Robarts Library is the nearest pickup location. Allow 2-3 days for the item to arrive; you will be notified by e-mail, as long as you have verified your e-mail address is in the system: under Library Services on the Faculty of Music Library web page, select My account and then Change address to make sure your e=mail account is registered.
The item is catalogued but not available until the catalogue record says:
The item is here in the library, and available for circulation, but located in the library workroom. Ask the Reference staff to retrieve the item for you, or before or after the Reference Desk hours, ask for it at the Circulation Desk.
The item is here in the Music Library, but not in the Stacks – ask for it at the Circulation Desk.
The item is here in the Music Library, located in the Reference stacks next to the Reference and Information Desk. These items do not circulate.
The item is held behind the Circulation Desk; request it there.
The item is located in the Rare Book Room, located next to the Reference and Information Desk. Request it from the Reference staff Monday to Friday 11 am – 5 pm, either for immediate consultation, or to arrange to view the item at a time other than when the Reference desk is open.
The item is here in the Music Library, but located behind the Circulation Desk. Request it there.
The item is in the Robarts Library cataloguing department. We may be able to help move it through cataloguing and binding for you. Ask for help at the Circulation or Reference desk.
The item is at the Bindery. Ask at the Circulation or Reference desk for information on the status of the item.
The item has been returned to another library, discharged, and ready to be returned to the Music Library through the library delivery service.
The item has been returned to the Music Library and is being held at the Circulation desk for the person who placed the hold. To place a hold on an item, click on the title in the catalogue, and under Options select Request.
