Archival material documents the creative activity of composers and performers associated with the University and the city. The collection includes manuscripts, correspondence, programs, photographs and recordings of artists such as John Beckwith, Talivaldis Kenins, Udo Kasemets, the Hart House String Quartet and Kathleen Parlow.
This collection supports the programs of the Faculty's ensembles.
Borrowing is limited to members of Orchestras Canada, members of Choirs Ontario, members of The Faculty of Music Jazz Ensembles, Concert Band and Music Education Ensembles respectively.

This collection includes songs, piano pieces and method books in sheet music format, mostly issued 1800-1950, plus single examples of choral octavo. It is generally available for copying, but is non-circulating.
This database includes records catalogued by the Music Library since 1995. LP/Vinyl discs catalogued before 1995 are represented only in the card catalogue in the Library.
