Biography
John Hawkins, composer, pianist and teacher was born in Montreal, 26 July 1944 and died in Toronto, 14 January 2007. He joined the University of Toronto in 1970, and taught analysis and composition until 2006. He performed for both the SMCQ and NMC, and won the Léger Prize in 1983.
